More than just flash šŸ“ø

Bienvenue, creators šŸ‡«šŸ‡·

Hi everyone! Like large-format cocktails, remembering the rules to card-based games, and all other good things in life…each day at Smooth is a team effort. Certainly no exception: this week’s Smoothletter, which was masterminded by Ali and Jenny. What a thrill to work with people who can execute massive creator deals, write top notch newsletters, and pull off deep cut pop culture references all in the same hour.

Knowledge Creators šŸ¤ Cool Stuff

The latest content + happenings from the creators we rep here at Smooth

Left: Jacklyn Dallas / Right: Tim from Theoretically Media

  • Theoretically Media covers Google I/O | Tim’s breakdown of the top AI takeaways from Google’s biggest event of the year racked up 250K+ views. This is the kind of coverage that helps his audience actually understand what matters—not just what’s flashy.

  • Matt Wolfe tests a new format | Matt’s latest upload gives his audience something new: less AI news round-up and more AI history lesson. Take it from the comment section: ā€œWe need someone to stitch together the human narrative of it all. That’s what content like this accomplishes.ā€

  • Jacklyn Dallas rocks YouTube Brandcast | A testament to the level she’s playing at and the work she’s putting in on a daily basis: Jacklyn was one of just 30 creators invited to this flagship YouTube event, where she rubbed shoulders with execs and entertainers from across the media landscape.

  • SonderingEmily gets an NPR feature | In an episode of All Things Considered, Emily broke down the appeal of dev logs—not just as marketing tools, but as ways to connect with players on a human level. ā€œPeople like watching other people figure things out,ā€ she said. It’s a great listen for anyone curious about how game creators build in public.

Brand Campaigns Hot Off the Press šŸ—žļø

Some of the fun partnerships our team’s been working on with creators + brands

Avni Barman & FEELA

Avni Barman x Sony | As part of Sony’s CES showcase, Avni got to check out FEELA, its AI-powered concept car—and yes, her name was literally printed on the vehicle.

AI Advantage x Anthropic | A super clean sponsored video featuring real, practical ways Claude 4 can supercharge your workflow. It's exactly how sponsored content from knowledge creators should feel: helpful first.

BycloudAI x LTX Studio | This integration breaks down LTX’s new open-source video generation model. This thoughtful and tech savvy breakdown is perfectly suited to the product itself: fast, high quality, and fully open.

A little something we’ve been chatting about here at Smooth HQ

Team Smooth is packing our SPF and Google Translate and heading to France. 🄐

In just a few weeks, Josh, Jenny, and Sarah will be on the ground at Cannes Lions to 1) support the Lightricks team as they roll out LTX Studio and 2) dive into Cannes’ new Creator track to see how the industry’s thinking about creators as more than just a ā€œsocialā€ tactic.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: Creator marketing is growing up. Cannes is where the ad world goes for big budgets, bold bets, and best-in-class ideas. We’re excited to be in the mix to make sure knowledge creators have a seat at the table.

If you’ll be there, shoot us a note! If you won’t, we’ll still gladly take any and all tips for surviving internationally for five days on only seafood and spritzes. šŸ‡«šŸ‡·

Thanks for reading! If you need us during lunch today, look no further than our beloved Bedford Cheese Shop—a longtime Smooth team favorite—which sadly announced its upcoming closing. RIP Northside sandwich. You were perfect. šŸ’”
