The cool things the Smooth team’s had going on this quarter. We’re putting the new in new media and we’re having fun doing it (yes, that would be our Real Housewives intro tagline).

So today, we’re serving up some updates around the world of Smooth. Let’s do this →

We helped Lightricks pull off another stellar event, this time in London. 💂 After having so much fun helping Lightricks launch their AI-powered text-to-video platform, LTX Studio, in New York back in March, we hopped across the pond to bring the tech to London Town and debut the team’s new Vision expansion pack. It was a smashing success (did I use smashing correctly?).

Our CEO Josh attended Open Sauce in San Francisco. The event was a three-day exhibition founded by science creator William Osman ft. 10K+ STEM makers, creators, and operators. Check out the full recap from the Publish Press right here. 🫡

We hosted a packed Creator Meetup here in NYC for Publish x Squarespace. Survey says: Events are so back. It was such a thrill to have so many creative people in one room (and a very cool room at Squarespace HQ, might I add). Some highlights? 

• Hannah Doyle from Publish interviewed Hannah Williams—founder and CEO of Salary Transparent Street, star Smooth partner, and refreshingly honest interviewee who shared so much about building her business to $1M in revenue in just its second year.

• The food was sooo good.

And our beloved Sydney is moving to NYC! Oh Canada? More like no Canada, am I right?? Syd is trading Toronto for the sweet, sweet smells of hot garbage this summer and joining the NYC bureau full-time. We can’t wait to have her in the office and make her do super American things, like…drink Bud Heavy and complain about how confusing the healthcare system is. See you soon!

And the biggest, most important accomplishment so far in Q2: Head of Partnerships Colin Richardson made a dentist appointment.
