Tina Huang hits 1M subs
Hi, everyone! Tonight, the gauntlet is being thrown. The team at Smooth HQ has joined a pickleball league, and weâre taking on our first opponents in whatâs sure to be a game worthy of ESPN 8: The Ocho.
Are we as good at geriatric sports as we are at building Notion databases? Only time will tell.

The latest content + happenings from the creators we rep here at Smooth

The cake was indeed delicious.
Tina Huang hits 1M subs đĽ | After more than a decade of building smart, practical tutorials on coding, tech, and AI, Tina has earned a fiercely loyal audience. And now? There are 1 million of them. Sheâs got a seven-figure audience on YouTube and a Golden Play Button to match. Congrats, Tina!
Dynamo gets a real big reception to Real Big Machines đď¸ | Nicholas Carlson, Rebecca Harrington, and the whole Dynamo crew already proved their magic with Business Explains the World. A month into their second show, Real Big Machines, and it seems lightning can strike twice. Theyâre pushing 100K views on a video released this week about a âgiant old machine,â and the comments? âI've lived in the southwest USA all my lifeâ82 years, so I found this to be totally AMAZING. đŽâ Weâre not the only ones glued to our screens.
The Wall Street Skinny interviews A-Rod âž | Jen and Kristen sat down with baseball legend-turned-investor Alex Rodriguez to talk about what happens off the field: building A-Rod Corp into a $2B+ portfolio, his âVCPâ filter for venture bets, and lessons from his childhood and 22 MLB seasons that shaped his approach to money. Even our most devoted Mets fan, Jenny, loved it.
Brand Campaigns Hot Off the Press đď¸
Some of the fun partnerships our teamâs been working on with creators + brands

Jacklyn Dallas x Amazon | Jacklyn gave her audience the lowdown on Amazonâs latest Echo lineup with her signature hype-meets-helpful energy.
CatGPT x Bolt | Instead of just demoing features, Cat told a gripping story about how, years ago (read: before AI coding tools) she tried to build her own tech company and ran headfirst into the kind of friction Bolt solves best. It was smart, personal, and memorable storytelling that made the problem feel real and the solution click.
Angelo x USAA | Angeloâs signature meal-prepping-while-dropping-personal-finance-knowledge videos continue to cook. In this video, heâs making steak while talking about how to build your credit score.
Thoughts for the Road đŁď¸
A little something weâve been chatting about here at Smooth HQ
The headline of our month: Press Publish NYC. This wasnât just a one-day summit for the creator economy. It was a poignant reminder that small things donât stay small.
Since 2021, The Publish Press has sent 500+ meticulously crafted newslettersâevery word workshopped, every comma debated. Colin & Samir have obsessed over every interview, set detail, and thumbnail. All those small, compounding efforts added up to Press Publish NYC, where our community showed up in full force to learn from and meet one another.
A quick rundown of some highlights?
Colin & Samir kicked things off on Squawk Box to tell CNBCâs viewers all about this âcreatorâ âeconomyâ thing.
We hosted the welcome party on Virgin Voyageâs Brilliant Ladyâwith a surprise cameo from Sir Richard Branson himself.
Casey Neistat surprised everyone on Thursday afternoon with an unfiltered take on the state of the creator world.
Steven Bartlett closed the day with a message weâre still quoting at Smooth HQ: Get 1% better every day, sweat the small stuff, and care for your craft.
Behind the curtain, an all-star crew made it happen: a production team that turned stage design into theater, a programming team that curated an ambitious (and surprising) lineup, and our extended Smooth x Publish x Colin & Samir family who worked on every detailâdown to folding merch and working registration.
It was ambitious, it was audacious, and it worked. We left with a renewed sense of what this industry can be when creators, operators, and partners all get in the same room. SoâŚsame time next year?
(Also: Shoutout to the Smooth creators who came outâwe loved seeing you on home turf. đ¸)

Thanks for reading! Weâll report back on our pickleball standings next timeââtil then, enjoy your week.
